Synchronizing LEAPWORK with MicroFocus Quality Center/ALM

By synchronizing LEAPWORK with MicroFocus Quality Center/ALM you get:

LEAPWORK does what it does the best
LEAPWORK Flows becomes ALM Testcases that can be documented in ALM
LEAPWORK Environments becomes ALM Testconfigurations on testcases that covers requirements
LEAPWORK Schedules becomes ALM Testset
LEAPWORK Runs becomes ALM Runs

This way Quality Center/ALM's traceability to requirements, defect management, release/cycle management and the overall reporting becomes available on top of the LEAPWORK featureset.

The synchronization is implemented as a VB.Net (exe) that can be hosted on a windows server, sheduled to run at intervals (like every 5 or 10 minutes).

LEAPWORK Flows becomes ALM Testcases that can be documented in ALM

There will be two modes of synchronization available:

Basic synchronization
Integration as testtype

Basic synchronization

In this mode LEAPWORK Flows are synchronized to ALM as "MANUAL Testcases". On the ALM side some customizations are required in order to keep track of the LEAPWORK Assetid's, and in order to keep other ALM users from modifying and executing the tests manually. This integration can be implemented as custumizations in a specific project and without any changes to the ALM Server or Client.

This mode will be available from September 2019

Integration as testtype

In this mode each LEAPWORK Flow will be synchronized to ALM as a "LEAPWORK TEST". A "Custom TestType" that:

Everything that the basic synchronization does
Places a LEAPWORK icon on the testcases in ALM TestPlan and TestLab
Display executions in a Custom View that also allows for pre-populating defects with execution and error information
Initiating execution of Schedules and Individual flows from ALM
